How long have you been doing this?

I first fell in love with photography when I was on the yearbook staff in high school. More seriously, over the last 10 years when I got my first DSLR. As the fire for photography grew inside me, I photographed family and friends and learned so much about this craft. Now that my kids are older, I decided it was time to turn the tides and turn my 20+ year hobby into my career.

Can you help us with planning?

Absolutely! I offer visual location guides, style/attire guides and assistance, and I'm always a call, email, or text away if you need to run ideas or outfits by me. I am ALL IN to make this an enjoyable and easy process for you.

What should we wear?

I have a blog post you can refer to, as well as a Pinterest board I've been curating with ideas!
I also send out seasonal guides, so after you book, you will receive the most current one.

How do we get our photos?

Through a website gallery host called Pixieset. Your gallery is password protected, and requires a pin to download your images.

What is your turn around time?

This depends on the season! I try to get you some previews as soon as possible, but during busy season (FALL!) my turn around is about 2-3 weeks. Senior sessions can be a bit longer during this time, especially if you have a larger gallery.

Do you retouch photos?

Absolutely. I curate a beautiful, fully edited gallery for every session. You will not see RAW, unedited photos, nor any that I decide aren't fit for your final gallery. Some poses and lighting (I can't control nature, I can just work with it!) might just not hit the mark so you will only get the best of the best from your session! I will do some light retouching- so don't freak out if you get a zit the night before. I have your back and no one will ever know!
Light retouching is always included but there are things I don't do- such as manipulating images to change a subject's body weight. I will never make you pose in positions that aren't comfortable. Everyone is beautiful and I will help you feel confident for your session!

What if the weather forecast is unfavorable?

I try to not determine a reschedule for weather until at least 24 hours before- I've lived in Michigan my entire life and we all know it can change quick! If the weather is not cooperating with your chosen time and date, I'll reach out to reschedule.

How far out do you book?

I take booking requests up to a year in advance.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

I understand that things come up, and I will work with you if you need to reschedule your session. Please let me know as soon as possible if you can't keep your time. Your retainer is non-refundable but you can absolutely use it for a new date.

I cannot guarantee a themed re-do if you miss a styled mini session, or a mini session at a rented location. I will discuss this on a case-by-case basis.
